Fabric...

Well like many of you I love Blackbird Designs.  I am happy to report I was able to pick up their new fabric before it disappeared from our local stores.  I have added to my collection the following pre-cuts (3) charm packs and (1) pack of 19 half yards.  I also even though I can't believe I did this.  I picked up 11 yards of the large basket print that looks like stamped cross stitch.  I just love the fabric and blue matches color of our bedroom that my husband just finished painting.  I am planning on using for the quilt backing of a very large quilt....I think I am a little out of my bounds here but I am going to give it a shot.  Would be the first quilt I make.  I tend to just take the plunge a couple of years ago after discovering how much custom curtains would cost me.  I thought well my grandmother was an interior decorator and sewed everything you could possibly imagine.  I thought if my grandmother can have a business around this I should be able to tackle making curtains for my living room.  I bought my first sewing machine three years ago and made my curtains, as well as a slip cover for my chair.  Now I am planning on making a rather large quilt - I may be insane after all....
