Help me out folks....

I am struggling with information to put on my blog and whether or not I should maintain two separate ones.  I would love those of you who stop by to let me know what you would like to see.  Here are a few questions I have.

  1. Do you want to see just information about samplers?
  2. Interested in sampler information I come across to share or just stick to my reproduction and original designs (yes I do have some original I am working on)
  3. Do you want it to be more of a blend of a personal blog and my samplers?
  4. Feedback and any other suggestions I would love to have....so share freely

Thanks so much and to encourage some comments and feedback if you make your comments and suggestions by August 20th, 2012 I will use the random generator to pick a number.  The one selected will have some stitching goodies coming their way.

  1. Hi ... I'm fairly new to your blog, but I'll throw my 2 cents in! I'd be interested in all of the above. I love to learn about the history of samplers and I find it interesting to read how a designer puts together ideas for a new design as well as how you decide to reproduce an antique sampler. And a little personal information ... it's always fun to get to know our stitching buddies a little more!

  2. I agree with Lanie-a little of all the above makes the blog interesting. We get to know you, your designs, and your tastes.

  3. Here's a third vote of Yes, a mix of information is always nice and keeps it interesting - and - you are trying to keep up with two Blogs. :)

  4. And I'll be a fourth! I think a mix of information is the best of both worlds and so much easier than trying to maintain 2 different blogs. Good luck in your decisions.

  7. Agreed, a mix is good but it is great to see someone write about sampler history for all of us to learn more about the early years of stitching. I love the older sampler designs and am excited for you that you are reproducing and also designing your own. You have great color and style. Keep us informed! pj

  8. Hi LaDonna, definitely a mix of info. Historical info about samplers would be great! I always like to read personal info like where you have been, what you have seen, and what you are stitching. The most important thing I have found is you need to post regularly and frequently. Gets people coming back. You can always let people know how much fun you had at an LSG meeting :). Hope to see you soon. Love the new stitching accessories. Marty

  9. I like to see a mix of both stitching and personal information. Just enough history to educate us, then other information to make sure we don't feel like we're back in school. What it really comes down to is this is your blog, and you should do what makes you happy.

  10. By all means do include some personal info. It helps all your colliers connect with you. Looking forward to reading more from you in the future!

  11. Hi Ladonna, I am new to your blog...discoverd you through the Attic and the Mary Utley Sampler. I am interested any and all information on samplers, your designs, pictures, everything samplers. I would prefer one blog for everything and would love frequent posts. Your work and knowledge are what keeps me coming back and visiting your blog.
